The phrase “Use it or lose it” is one that covers lots of things. It could mean your muscles, it could mean a spoken/written language, it could just mean your mind. For me, at this point in time it more so means whatever “chops” I’ve ever had when it comes to writing, particularly creative writing. I have often thought “I could write a novel” and have been contemplating different stories/plots that I would want to explore.

I decided up using a non-WP blog system. Main reason, cheapness. I opted to use Hugo I love PHP, I love MySQL, I love WordPress (WP), but I don’t want to have to upgrade my hosting to be able to run a proper WP blog. Hugo is a static content system, so I write/code the site locally. I then run the publishing routine. Then I commit the changes, go onto the server, then deploy them.
